Six Reasons to Call Us, on Either Side of the River

Things you can check before you book: the prices, the person, the reviews and the prep.

Typical Prices, Published Up Front

A flake floor with a polyaspartic top coat typically runs about $5 to $10 per square foot, or about $2,000 to $5,000 for a typical 2-car garage: a range you can budget against before anyone visits, rather than a percent-off banner. Try colors in the Floor Studio first; we price each floor after seeing it.

5.0 on Google From 59 Reviews

Reviewers mention basements and garages, metallic finishes, cracks ground down and sealed, being fit in on short notice, prompt and reasonable service, and a crew that cleaned up. One came back a second time: “Second time using Nick’s company. Prompt, reasonable, and a beautiful result. …” — Dax Farmer

Prep Comes Before Paint

The slab is ground smooth and its cracks, holes and divots are filled before any coat goes on. Then your color is mixed, with chips, mica or glitter if you like.

Finishes: Flake, Metallic, Solid Color and More

Pick the look, then the system under it; we talk through both when we measure. Browse the flake blends and metallic colors first.

Two-car garage render with ocean-pearl metallic epoxy

Metallic Epoxy

The pigment moves as it's spread, so no two floors match. Blue, red, silver, bronze and more, often with mica for a liquid-metal look. See the metallic epoxy floor guide.

Two-car garage render with domino flake epoxy

Flake Floors

Colored chips scattered into the base coat and sealed under a clear top coat. Pick the blend and chip size; the speckle hides dust and adds grip.

Two-car garage render with slate-gray solid-color epoxy

Solid Color

One color of 100%-solids epoxy, clean and easy to sweep, for workshops, storage rooms, home gyms and warehouse aisles.

Two-car garage render with tuxedo flake under a polyaspartic top coat

Polyaspartic & Polyurea

Faster-curing coatings, as a top coat or the whole system, that hold color in sunlight better than plain epoxy. We offer all three and choose by the room, not by a “stronger than epoxy” slogan; in garages, an epoxy base under a polyaspartic top coat is a common pairing. Epoxy vs. polyaspartic, compared.

Two-car garage render with a speckled granite-look finish

Custom Colors & Non-Slip

Color is mixed for each job. Glitter, mica or sand add sparkle or texture, and a non-slip additive suits steps, ramps and wet entries.

Not Sure Which Finish?

What a Floor Has to Handle in Greater Cincinnati

Six local conditions and what they mean for a coated floor.

About 100 Freezing Nights a Year

NOAA’s 30-year averages for Cincinnati’s official weather station, at the CVG airport, show about 100 nights a year at or below freezing; most thaw by afternoon. Both states' building codes treat a garage slab like a porch.

Salt and Brine at the Garage Door

The City of Cincinnati salts or brines hills and bridges first; 27,000 tons were ready for one January 2025 storm. That slush rides in on your tires, and on a coated floor a squeegee clears it.

Hot Tires and Afternoon Sun

Warm tires can pull up a thin, poorly bonded store-bought coating, and plain epoxy can yellow in sunlight. Prep and coating thickness matter for the first; a polyaspartic or polyurea top coat holds color better.

Old Slabs and Newer Ones

The median home in Newport dates to 1947 and in Fort Thomas to 1955, so those slabs often need grinding and patching. In Mason it's 1996: younger concrete worth coating before it stains.

Basements and Water

Half of new Midwest homes still get basements, and Ohio-side basements see floods and sewer backups. A coating can't keep water out, but the sealed floor mops and disinfects easily.

Hillsides That Move

Cincinnati's hillsides sit on clay-rich shale soil, and some soils swell and shrink. No coating stops a moving crack, so we check for movement and tell you before we coat.

How Our Crew Puts Down a Floor

Five steps, from the visit to the clean-up. The long version: how we install an epoxy floor, step by step. No one-day-floor promise here: how soon you can walk and park depends on the coating, the slab and the temperature, so ask us for the walk-on and drive-on times for the system you choose when we quote.

1

Free visit and quote

We measure the space, look over the concrete and talk through colors and systems, then price the floor we saw.

2

Grinding and crack repair

The crew sands the concrete smooth and fills cracks, holes and divots. Basement slabs get a moisture check first, and a moving crack gets mentioned before anything is coated.

3

Color and base coat

Your color is custom-mixed and the base coat goes down in sections, with flake, metallic pigment, glitter or sand added as it goes.

4

Clear top coat

A clear top coat seals the finish and takes the daily wear. Polyaspartic and polyurea are available, and non-slip grit can be mixed in.

5

Clean-up and photos

The crew clears the debris, and you get before, during and after photos of your floor.

Step 1 Costs Nothing

“Nick and Bryant did a fantastic job on our garage floor. Nick sat down with me and laid out the plan with the colors to achieve the look that we wanted. … He sent pics throughout the process to keep me informed. The metallic epoxy turned out great! Almost looks like a natural matte finished marbled look.”

Questions People Ask Before They Call

Short answers on price, salt, store-bought kits, basements and Kentucky.

About $2,000 to $5,000 for a flake floor with a polyaspartic top coat, or roughly $5 to $10 per square foot — a typical range, not a quote. Solid-color epoxy runs about $3 to $6 per square foot and metallic about $6 to $12, and patching a badly damaged crack runs about $25 to $250. We quote each floor after seeing it; our pricing guide has the details.

Yes, if the slab is prepped properly and the right top coat goes on. Salt and brine ride in on your tires, and engineers say de-icers speed up scaling on bare concrete. On a coated floor the slush stays on top, where a squeegee or hose clears it. A slab that is already scaling gets ground and repaired first.

Because a thin coat on lightly prepped concrete tends not to last where cars park. Paint and most store-bought kits go over a slab that was only scrubbed or acid-etched, so hot tires can pull them up and they often start lifting just inside the door. Our crew grinds the concrete first and fills its cracks, holes and divots, then puts down a full coating system; for a garage that is typically flake epoxy under a polyaspartic top coat. Our guide Is Epoxy Flooring Worth It in Cincinnati? compares the two, prices included. For every option from paint to tiles, see our garage floor coating buyer’s guide.

Often, yes, once the slab has been checked. We look at basement moisture before recommending a system, and a moisture-mitigation primer (about $1 to $3 more per square foot) goes down where readings call for it. Active leaks must be fixed first. No coating stops water entering a basement, but it leaves a floor that is easy to mop and disinfect.

Yes. We work in Florence, Erlanger, Newport and Fort Thomas as well as nine Ohio towns; see the service area page. The same number, (513) 434-8103, reaches us from both sides of the river.
